Who are We?

Our Neighborhood & Our Church

We are a small Evangelical Free Church committed to gospel ministry in the ethnically and economically diverse communities of the Round Lake area. We are honored to serve and pray for our local residents, schools, businesses, and community organizations. There is a great need for the power of the gospel to penetrate the lives of local residents who are economically & educationally disadvantaged, and to those who are struggling amidst broken family relationships, and with drug and alcohol addictions.

Family & Congregational Focus

While offering ministries for specific needs and purposes as listed below, we also promote individuals and families being together at home and in worship, fellowship, and ministry, while encouraging family, ethnic, and cross-generational unity in the body of Christ. We also emphasize building up people in the Lord, and not "using them" to increase our ministries at the expense of burning out people. Our members are challenged to serve Jesus here, but also told to "say no" or "take a break" when needed from church ministries.

Unity in Christ & Working Together

In keeping with the call to unity in the body and to preach Jesus Christ and not ourselves, we work with and support other churches and gospel ministries. Our pastor meets weekly with other Round Lake area pastors for prayer and we support other local gospel ministries. We are committed to the “Interdependence” philosophy of the EFCA and are active in our support of the EFCA and its International Mission “Reach Global.” We also share our building with Cristo es la Verdad Iglesia, an EFCA-Latino Church started to reach people in the Spanish language. For more information on the EFCA please see the web links below.
